Last Saturday, 5th October our Practice Manager Cath Grimsey joined other members of the Veterinary Voices Hiking Group, together with Vetlife Trustees and members of The Canmore Trust, to successfully complete the 32Km Ullswater Way Challenge to kick off #ActiveOctober.

The event, organised by Veterinary Voices Hiking Group, has far surpassed its £15,000 target and to date has raised more than £18,000 for Vetlife, an independent charity that provides support to anyone in the UK veterinary community who has emotional, health or financial problems, whilst seeking ways to prevent such situations in the future.

The Veterinary Voices Hiking Group aims to get members of the profession outdoors for their physical and mental wellbeing, to aid in building new connections and friendships and opening new support and friendship networks across the UK. You can find out more about the Group here.

Cath said: “It was a lovely hike, and l was grateful to be invited to join old friends and meet new veterinary industry colleagues (and dogs!)  to raise important funds for Vetlife. This charity does such great work, and I’m very grateful to everyone who sponsored me, with particular mentions to Pinkham Equine, Kernow Vets Messaging, AR Legal and IMS Euro. The total amount raised for Vetlife by this event is now more than £18,000 – an incredible achievement by everyone involved.”
